Leadership Academy in Brussels (June 2016)

'new and emerging models of teaching and learning’

A diverse group of institutional leaders from around Europe met in June 2016 at Neth-ER in Brussels as part of the first cohort of the EMPOWER Online Learning Leadership Academy (EOLLA). The two-day workshop supported with an Online Primer was very successful, evidenced by the positive feedback from participants. The EOLLA programme was highly interactive and challenged  participants to think deeply about a number of future scenarios which may impact on the future of higher education. Through a mix of short presentations, open discussions and small group work the programme culminated on the final day with a number of business cases being put to a simulated senior leadership team. The outcomes of the workshop were presented in the Online, Open and Flexible Higher Education Conference 2016 in Rome.
